About Us
One night, many years ago, Winston the Worm was born from Nana's imagination when asked by her grandchildren to tell them a story at bedtime. Over the years and after many, many, many requests, Winston the Worm's story grew and gave many comforting laughs to her grandchildren (and herself) before bedtime. We hope Winston’s story brings a smile to you and your family as well.

Nana’s story was first adapted to print by one of her grandchildren during a school assignment which gave Winston the Worm visual life. Over the years, a little piece of all of us helped develop Winston’s final book.
We are the Bohrer family and in the spirit of giving back we hope to share Nana’s story in conjunction with our fundraising efforts. Over the years, two issues have always resonated with us: 1) stories of soldiers, law enforcement, and first responders putting their lives in jeopardy to serve this great country and the sacrifices of their families; and 2) children who are suffering from disease and the sacrifices of their families.
With that goal in mind, all net proceeds from the sale of Winston’s book will be contributed directly to The Tunnels to Towers Foundation and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Winston and our family hopes you will join us on our journey to do a little good for those in need.
